Runners raise a record $485,729!

Some 14,000 runners and walkers enjoyed running around many of Melbourne's major landmarks in Run Melbourne, presented by The Age today, raising a record $485,729 (as of 2pm) for a variety of Victorian charities. This brings Run Melbourne's fundraising total to a staggering $772,729 in its two year history! Let's see how far we can take it!

Congratulations to Diane Gibney who is the highest individual fundraiser to date and won a complete holiday package for two to Noosa. Congratulations also to Damian Panozza who won a Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet!

Major prize winner: Damian Panozza who won a Ford Focus Coupé-Cabriolet, thanks to New Oak Ford in Oakleigh.

Highest individual fundraiser on event day: Diane Gibney who won a complete holiday package for two to Noosa, thanks to The Emerald Noosa Resort in Queensland.

Fancy dress winner: Terence Macmanus (the Run Melbourne knight in shining armour) who won $1,000 towards the charity of his choice, thanks to Nandos.

Early bird entrant winners: Christian Haarburger, Shelley King, Yvonne Fantin, Sara Antonowicz and Yukiko Takagi who each won a 2XU prize pack.
